1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Kasaneru ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Kasaneru is a personal career episode management app that helps you structure your experiences through an AI-assisted chat. You talk about an experience in a single chat timeline, and the App organizes it into structured episodes that are saved and displayed in the App. The App is available in a free tier with weekly usage limits on AI features, and a premium subscription with expanded access. In the free tier, the episode refinement feature is available as a one-time trial; unlimited refinement requires a paid subscription.

3. User Data and Privacy

• All episode data, chat history, and personal information are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings (optional, off by default), your episodes are also stored in your own Apple Account's iCloud.
• Conversation data is sent to an external AI service solely for the purpose of generating structured episodes, and is not stored on Kasaneru's servers after processing.
• We do not sell, share, or use your data for AI model training.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's services
- Use the App to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
- Circumvent weekly usage limits or other restrictions

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and AI-generated content formatting, is the intellectual property of the Kasaneru development team. Episodes and other content you create using the App belong to you.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional premium subscription through Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system.

• Subscription pricing and billing periods are displayed in the App before purchase
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings
• No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable prior notice

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be available at all times
- AI-generated content will be accurate or complete
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Scheduled notifications will be delivered at the exact specified time

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. You will not be charged for any subscription without your explicit consent through the App Store purchase flow.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
